The Seminar On Economic And Trade Cooperation Between China And The United States Was Held During The 12Th China International Fair
On May 22, a seminar on economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States was held in Taiyuan during the 12th China International Fair. About 150 Representatives from local governments and business circles from Shanxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Jiangsu, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Tianjin and other provinces of China and California, New York, Iowa and Chicago of the United States attended the seminar. On strengthening economic and trade exchanges between the provinces and states of China and the United States and promoting mutually beneficial and win-win development, the delegates held in-depth discussions on the two topics of US investment in China and China's investment in the United States, interpreted relevant policies, shared successful cases, analyzed opportunities and challenges faced by Sino US economic and trade relations, and explored business opportunities for practical cooperation.
Wang Shouwen, Vice Minister of Commerce and deputy representative of international trade negotiations, said that the rapid development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations shows that the essence of Sino US economic and trade cooperation is mutual benefit and win-win. The economic and trade cooperation between provinces and prefectures has broadened the areas of cooperation between the two countries, promoted the landing of investment projects, and formed some brand activities that are widely welcomed by the enterprises of the two countries, and have become the highlights of the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries“ During the 14th Five Year Plan period, China will accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, continue to promote high-level opening up, and constantly optimize the business environment. This will provide more development opportunities for foreign-funded enterprises, including US funded enterprises, and will also inject new impetus into Sino US economic and trade cooperation. It is hoped that China and the United States will make joint efforts to focus on cooperation, control differences, promote the healthy and stable development of Sino US economic and trade relations, make positive contributions to the economic growth of the two countries and world economic recovery, and enhance the well-being of the people of the two countries and the world.
Wu Wei, vice governor of Shanxi Province, said that Shanxi has a long history, splendid culture, rich resources and openness. It is hoped that under the framework of Sino US provincial and state Trade and investment cooperation, exchanges will be strengthened in the fields of economy and trade, education, culture, health and tourism, and new growth points of economic and trade cooperation will be cultivated in new technologies, new materials, new equipment, new products and new formats.
California's vice governor conelaine, New York's deputy governor Howard Hodge, and Chicago Mayor leitford respectively delivered video speeches, saying that their respective states and cities have close economic and trade ties with China and frequent people to people exchanges, attracting a large number of Chinese enterprises to invest in the local areas. Relevant States and cities are looking forward to sharing experiences with China in addressing climate change and promoting economic growth, promoting cooperation, developing mutually beneficial and win-win relations, and promoting their respective economic development.
