Turkmenistan Silk Production Increased 1-7 In 2019

The CIS website reported in August 18th that Turkmenistan's output of silk and cotton fabrics exceeded 5 million 500 thousand square meters in 2019 1-7, exceeding the same period last year. Over the same period, silk production exceeded 31 tons, a year-on-year increase. The production of raw materials for high grade raw materials in the Republic of highland has reached a record high, and over 282 tons have been completed on the basis of production plans (960 tons).


Turkmenistan's two main silk producers, Ashkhabad silk reeling mill and turkmenat silk production association, have fully modernized their production and equipped with advanced equipment. Their products were awarded the gold medal of Prodi J International Exposition (Bulgaria), and silk and leftover materials were exported to China, Russia and other countries.
