After the project is completed as a whole, the annual output value of enterprises entering the zone is expected to reach 40 billion to 50 billion yuan.

Founded in 2003, Tianjin Textile Industrial Park is located in the airport area of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. The industrial park has been operating for more than ten years, and has made important contributions to turning losses into profits for Tianjin textile industry. In recent years, with the need of industrial adjustment and the call of transformation and development, speeding up the industrial renewal, upgrading and innovation of Tianjin Textile Industrial Park has become an urgent need to keep pace with the times and promote high-quality development, which has become the consensus of Tianjin Textile Group and the Management Committee of free trade zone.

Cheng Jianfei, deputy general manager of Tianjin Textile Group, said that for Tianjin and Binhai New Area, the transformation and upgrading of Tianjin Textile Industrial Park conforms to the general requirements of Tianjin's implementation of "one base, three areas" construction, and is highly consistent with the development pattern of "Jincheng" and "Bincheng" in Tianjin's "14th five year plan". For the airport economic zone, the upgrading of the transformation industry of Tianjin Textile Industrial Park is highly matched with the industrial positioning of the airport area. For Tianjin Textile, it is a great opportunity to seize the "belt and road", the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the construction of free trade zone and other major national strategies, as well as the significant opportunity to ease Beijing's non capital core functions.

Because of this, Tianjin Textile Group and the Management Committee of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone signed a cooperation agreement in May 2019 to develop and construct new park projects, and create a new high-end industry city integration park with production, life and ecology.

In response to a reporter's question, Cheng Jianfei revealed that the adjustment of the park has been planned for more than three years, and Tianjin Textile Group and the Management Committee of the free trade zone have formed a highly unified opinion, that is, the construction direction of the new park is clearly defined as "high-end format, industry city integration".

Cheng Jianfei said that the industrial orientation of the park after transformation is aerospace, artificial intelligence, financial services, science and technology services, and Internet big data. In the process of transformation, Tianjin Textile Group adheres to the guidance of innovation, puts the concept of international ecological priority throughout the high-end industrial cluster area, focuses on the ecological facilities, industrial ecology and life ecology, creates human scale and humanistic care, and creates high-quality industrial development, high-quality living environment, high-quality transportation and high-quality public environment.
