Minister Of Trade And Industry Of Malaysia Promotes The Establishment Of Malaysia Fashion, Textile And Garment Alliance

Darell Leiking, Minister of international trade and industry in Malaysia, is promoting the establishment of Malaysia fashion, textile and garment Alliance (Federation of Malaysian Fashion, Textiles and Apparels) on the theme of "shaping the future fashion and technology" organized by the Malaysian investment and Development Bureau (MIDA). The ceremony attracted more than 200 participants, including industry experts, designers and representatives of the association.

To (2018) MA China World Trade Center Ministry of industry proposed the idea of organizing all the public associations of the Malaysian textile and garment industry. FMFTA will represent the integration of Malaysian textile and garment industry. The alliance will play a vital role in building a stronger integrated ecosystem and invites multiple stakeholders to participate. Talent, skills and innovation will be the focus of the alliance's development.

During the event, Minister Dale Lei Jing also released the "Malaysia fashion, textiles and clothing designer Handbook" made by the Investment Development Council and its partners. This manual is made up of more than 400 designers from Malaysia. It will become a useful reference material for stakeholders to seek information and opportunities. It can also promote products and services to enterprises at home and abroad.

On the other hand, Azman Mahmud, executive director of the Malaysian investment and Development Bureau (MIDA), said that the fashion retailing industry in Azman is full of vitality, which is in line with the changing trend and consumers' demand for change. Up to December of last year, the upper and lower reaches of the industry had successfully implemented 1195 investment plans for textiles and clothing in China, with a total investment of 12 billion 600 million MA (about 3 billion 43 million US dollars) and creating 155 thousand job opportunities.

In the first half of this year, MIDA approved 5 investment plans for textiles and garments, with a total investment of 9440 million dollars. Looking ahead, the industry still has plenty of room for growth.
