President Huang: Guangdong is a big clothing province. The demand for professional buyers is very large. Nearly half of the top Chinese fashion designers in Guangdong are mainly concentrated in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. These are all factors that attract fashionable buyers.

However, there is no such platform in China: it can serve as a channel for domestic fashion buyers to upgrade their professional knowledge and fashion buyers' technical exchanges.

Therefore, in May of last year, the Guangzhou joint trading Park Investment Limited company sprouted the idea of establishing a buyer Association, and received support and trust from eight sponsors from five cities. During the preparatory period, the government received strong support from the government, institutions and enterprises.

Knowing the news of the association of buyers, the fashionable buyers who scattered all over the place and single soldier fought to the organization. Within two months, the membership rapidly expanded to more than 400.

Therefore, when the Guangdong textile and apparel buyer association was founded, the first activity "fashion buyer forum" was launched, and attracted much attention from the media and fashion industry.

With a systematic occupational system, the association promotes the healthy development of the industry, making fashion buyers the main force to activate the industry's new power.

The English name is FashionBuyer, or Buyer.

It has a history of more than 50 years in foreign countries. It is different from the professional purchasers' purchase of raw materials. They are concentrated in the luxury goods industry and clothing industry, rare jewellery, sky mobile phones, luxury dresses and top saloon cars.

All luxury items you can think of are within the scope of their purchase.

With the rise of consumer awareness of domestic brands, and now the pformation of high value-added to retail terminals, the emergence of Chinese buyers will inevitably have its soil and special industrial environment in China.

In recent years, domestic fashion buyers have entered a period of rapid development, and professional buyers have begun to appear.

The specialty of fashion buyer is not yet established in government colleges and universities. The only training courses for buyers are private educational institutions.

There are foreign universities offering buyer courses, such as the Maran Oni Clothing Institute in Italy, which has the fashionbuyer profession. The courses offered for this major include buyer strategy, textile, fashion trend analysis, data analysis, market strategy, financial management, etc.

President Huang: to become an excellent buyer, we must achieve three "wants":

First, we should always pay attention to fashion information and have a keen sense of smell for fashion trends. This is the driving force for fashion buyers to keep working enthusiasm. Shopping frequently is a good way to cultivate buyers' ability. Careful observation and analysis of customer needs can make you more confident that your products will sell well, which will become an instinct over time.

Two, we must have the design talent and have certain professional qualities in design, so that we can grasp the information faster and more accurately and dig out the hot spots of fashion.

Three, be able to withstand high intensity work.

Because fashion buyers are usually "flying trapeze", they often have to travel around the world frequently, choosing goods, conducting business negotiations, communicating with all aspects, and working under great pressure.

President Huang: there are still not many successful experiences in China's clothing industry.

The establishment of the association is only the first step. Next, we will enable members to grasp the latest trends, trends and technologies in the industry through fashion media, seminars, visits and exchanges. In August 2nd, we will hold the first international buyer's festival in China. Through these activities, we will maintain the leaps and popularity of the association so that members can have more opportunities to exchange and expand resources.

It will also promote the professional buyer rating system, formulate the threshold and standard of the first professional buyer in China, and establish a standardized textile and garment buyer system.

Assist government and educational institutions to design fashionable buyer courses so that their content can meet the requirements of the industry.
