DIESEL AWARD Winner Li Xiao'S First Exhibition

2013 ITS creative competition DIESEL AWARD prize winner Li Xiao, a very creative Chinese designer, joined hands with DIESEL to exhibit her first Capsule Collection at the 10 Corso Como shop in Shanghai.

She worked for 6 months in DIESEL's tannin headquarters in Italy, during which she collaborated with DIESEL design team to complete Li Xiao x DIESEL x 10 Corso Como series.

With advanced technology, Li Xiao injected silica gel into denim and other fabrics to create super modern and high texture works.

At the time of studying at Royal College of Art in London, the Chinese designer had begun an attempt to create pioneer fabrics.

"Upgrading to a totally new level of creativity," Li Xiao said, "mixing traditional tannins and knitted fabrics with silica gel creates an unexpected effect between reality and surrealism."

The smooth and elastic silica gel enables the designer to create a clear and smooth outline.

In the 7 works of Capsule Collection, there are not only asymmetrical tailored loose vests, blue and white silicone and knee skirts, but also accessories.

Each piece will be accompanied by a passage to tell the story behind this series.

To celebrate the grand appearance of this series of works, since September of this year, DIESEL has joined hands with Li Xiao from Milan to hold a joyous ceremony in 10 Corso Como global stores.
