In February 2012, the national consumer price level rose 3.2% year-on-year. Among them, cities rose 3.2%, rural areas rose 3.2%, food prices rose 6.2%, non food prices rose 1.7%, consumer goods prices rose 3.9%, and services prices rose 1.5%. In 1-2 months, the national consumer price level increased by 3.9% over the same period last year.


In February, the national consumer price level decreased by 0.1%. Among them, the city decreased by 0.1%, the rural area decreased by 0.1%, the food price dropped by 0.3%, the non food prices remained flat, consumer goods prices dropped by 0.1%, and the service prices dropped by 0.2%.


1. The year-on-year changes in prices of various commodities.


In February, Food price The year-on-year increase of 6.2%, affecting the total consumer price level rose by about 1.99 percentage points over the same period. Among them, the prices of Chinese herbal medicines and Chinese patent medicines increased by 9.1%, medical appliances and articles prices increased by 3.9%, medical and health services prices increased by 0.6%, and Western medicine prices dropped by 0.3%.


   Traffic and communication price The grid increased by 0.1% over the same period. Among them, vehicle fuel and spare parts prices rose by 6.9%, vehicle use and maintenance prices increased by 3.9%, urban public transport costs rose 1.6%, inter city traffic charges rose 0.6%, communications tool prices fell by 13.5%, and vehicle prices dropped 0.4%.


The prices of entertainment, educational and cultural goods and services dropped by 0.4% over the same period last year. Among them, the prices of durable consumer goods and services for entertainment were reduced by 6%, tourism prices dropped by 2.5%, entertainment expenses increased by 1.6%, and educational prices rose by 1.3%.


Housing prices rose 2.1% over the same period. Among them, housing rental prices rose 2.5%, building and decoration materials prices rose 2.3%, water, electricity, fuel prices rose 1.7%.


It is estimated that in February, 3.2% of the total consumer price level rose year-on-year. Last year, the price rise factor was about 1.7 percentage points, and the new price increase factor was about 1.5 percentage points.
