The Industrial Association issued the outline of the 12th Five-Year scientific and technological progress of the textile industry (hereinafter referred to as the "Outline") to clarify the key tasks of scientific and technological progress in the industry.

The outline pointed out that during the "12th Five-Year" period, China's textile industry will intensify its efforts in tackling key technologies, popularize advanced and applicable technology and equipment, improve the technological innovation system, speed up the construction of textile talents, and comprehensively improve the production efficiency and value-added products of the textile industry.

Efforts will be made to enhance scientific and technological progress around the following aspects:


First, basic research should be carried out to strengthen basic theory and cutting-edge technology research in key areas such as fiber material processing, spinning and weaving, printing and dyeing, intelligent textiles, clothing home textile culture and textile machinery manufacturing.

Four, we should speed up R & D and promotion of green technology, recycling technology, high-performance, high-efficiency, energy saving and emission reduction of advanced technology, technology and equipment, eliminate backward production capacity, complete the national energy conservation and emission reduction and eliminate backward tasks, accelerate the upgrading of industrial technology.


Five, we must vigorously develop automation, digitalization, intellectualization and information-based textile manufacturing technology. We will start with the design, technology, production, equipment, testing, evaluation and sales network system of textile and clothing, realize the docking of electronic technology industrialization and informatization, and develop the technology of textile Internet of things.


Six, we should expand the ranks of scientific and technological innovative talents, integrate resources such as production, learning, research and industrial public service system, accelerate the training of leading talents and backbone teams with high level of scientific research, engineering design and management, strengthen professional skills training for on-the-job workers, comprehensively improve the overall quality of textile workers, and promote the industry's innovation ability and production efficiency.


Seven, we should accelerate the improvement of the scientific and technological innovation system in the industry, and give full play to the fundamental role of market allocation of resources. Through the joint participation of enterprises, governments, trade associations and intermediary agencies, universities, research institutes and technology pfer agencies, we will form an innovative mechanism that takes enterprises as the main body, tightly integrates production, teaching and research, combines military and civilian, cross industry chain, and interdepartmental cooperation, so as to promote the technological innovation capability of the industry.

We should accelerate the establishment of an applicable technology public promotion system based on industrial clusters and industry public service system, so as to promote the overall technological level of small and medium-sized enterprises.
