International Footwear Exhibition

(hereinafter referred to as GDS) is one of the three most famous professional footwear exhibitions in the world. It is the largest footwear exposition in Europe.

GDS is the world's largest, most influential and high class international footwear exhibition. It is held annually in March and September in the two quarter of spring and autumn in Dusseldorf, the famous exhibition city in Europe. The exhibition area is 90 thousand square meters, more than 1500 exhibitors are on the same stage, and nearly 40 thousand professional buyers come to the exhibition.

According to the different grades and market positioning of exhibitors, the organizers of the Expo will professionally divide exhibitors, and divide the exhibition into 7 different exhibition areas: international basic exhibition area, fashion district and leisure area.

In the past, Chinese exhibitors were mainly in the international basic exhibition area (Hall 3).

The exhibition has become a window for China's footwear industry to enter the EU market.

In September 2005, new 16 and 17 pavilions were opened. The exhibition opened 7--17 exhibition hall, with 11 pavilions. The unified exhibition hall was divided into: three themes: Modern, GlobalSources and Young. Chinese exhibitors moved from No. 3 to 16 and 17 International Pavilion (internationalbasic).

In September 2006, it was changed to hall 15 and 16, and 17 was multimedia.
