In Yubei District's Hui Hsing street, Shuang Hu community, law enforcement officers found 5 such garment processing plants.

The general pattern of the 9 factories is: in the middle is the production workshop, which is densely packed with sewing machines and other garment processing tools, and is surrounded by nearly 20 odd rooms. They are warehouses, workers' dormitories, kitchens and so on.

Some factories even put generators and oil drums on the corner of the corridor.

"Once a fire breaks down, the consequences will be unthinkable."

Tang Changfu, chief of the Yubei District Fire detachment, said that the 9 garment processing factories were integrated into production, operation, storage and residence. The typical "three in one" place generally encountered fire hazards such as inadequate installation of fire facilities, low fire resistance, inadequate fire protection and lack of municipal fire water resources.

In addition, there is only one safe escape exit for each factory building. There is no way to evacuate the factory staff in case of fire or accident.

Kong Zhiquan, director of the fire prevention department of the Yubei District fire brigade, said that at present, the firefighters have informed the factory owners one by one, demanding that they carry out rectification and rectification. After the rectification is completed, they will apply for re examination to the fire department, and after reexamination and safety, they will be able to resume production again.

Last night, the Yubei District Fire detachment also formed 4 inspection teams to conduct the wrong time inspection in the crowded areas. 15 fire hazards were found, 7 fire hazards were rectified on the spot, and 4 copies of the rectification notice were issued.
