French Textile And Garment Deficit

According to French customs statistics, in 2010,

France

Imports and exports totaled 836 billion 484 million euros, of which exports were 392 billion 521 million euros, an increase of 13.5% over the previous year, and imports of 443 billion 963 million euros, an increase of 13.8% over the same period last year.

The deficit was 51 billion 442 million euros in 2009.

The report lists the trade deficit data of France's export dominant industries and disadvantaged industries in 2010.

The aviation industry is the largest export industry in France, exporting 41 billion 200 million euros in 2010, with a surplus of 18 billion euros, an increase of 14.4% over the same period last year.

The export surplus of railway and motor vehicles is 14 billion 400 million euros.

Another export growth point is chemical, perfume and beauty cosmetics. It exports 46 billion 700 million euros, imports 39 billion 200 million euros, and the surplus is 7 billion 500 million euros.

The agricultural food industry exports 36 billion 200 million euros, imports 30 billion 600 million euros, and the surplus is 5 billion 500 million euros.

The pharmaceutical industry exports 26 billion 900 million euros, imports 23 billion euros, and a surplus of 3 billion 900 million euros, an increase of 5.2% over the same period last year.

Agriculture, forestry, fisheries and aquaculture export 13 billion 300 million euros, imports 11 billion euros, a surplus of 2 billion 200 million euros.


The deficit in energy imports and exports, including hydrocarbons, minerals, electricity and refined products, is 47 billion 600 million euros, of which hydrocarbon imports are 46 billion 600 million euros and the deficit is 37 billion 900 million euros.

Machinery and equipment, electrical and information equipment imported 95 billion 900 million euros, exports 75 billion 900 million euros, deficit of 19 billion 900 million euros.

Leather goods and footwear imports 28 billion 300 million euros, exports 16 billion 700 million euros, deficit of 11 billion 500 million euros.

Metallurgy and metal products imports 34 billion 800 million euros, exports 29 billion 400 million euros, deficit of 5 billion 300 million euros.

Timber, paper and carton import 12 billion 700 million euros, exports 8 billion 100 million euros, and the deficit is 4 billion 500 million euros.

Rubber and plastic products imported 21 billion euros, exports 16 billion 500 million euros, deficit of 4 billion 500 million euros.

The auto industry imports 42 billion 800 million euros, exports 39 billion euros, and the deficit is 3 billion 700 million euros, an increase of 16.9% over the same period last year.
