On October 8th -9, held in Yancheng, Jiangsu, the third quarter Forum on cotton textile industry situation analysis was held, and more than 30 enterprises from all over the country attended the meeting.

The conference made an overall analysis of the situation in the first three quarters of the year, and predicted the new cotton production and marketing situation and the cotton textile situation in the fourth quarter.

Zhang Xianbin, director of the Department of economic and trade affairs of the national development and Reform Commission, Zhu Beina, chairman of the association, Zhu Lanfen and Hua Guanxiong, honorary vice chairman, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Gu Jiadong, vice mayor of Yancheng City, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Secretary General of the association Zheng Jiewen.

The cotton textile enterprises have introduced the market operation of their respective enterprises. We have reached a consensus on the following aspects: (1) although the relevant agencies predict the basic balance of the world's cotton, there is still a big gap in domestic cotton.

The current cotton price has been out of the normal market demand and is at a stage of greater risk.

(2) for cotton textile enterprises, it is very important to strengthen self-discipline in such a situation. It is necessary to reduce the amount of cotton by means of increasing the use of chemical fiber, increasing the yarn content, strengthening the management and saving cotton, so as to achieve "three sides and one quick", that is, "watching and buying while using, and helping to get out quickly", maintaining the yarn price and ensuring the normal operation of the enterprise.

(3) the cotton textile industry is a pillar of the country, people's livelihood and an internationally competitive advantage. It is urgent for the state to issue new cotton imports for the new year as early as possible.

We should abolish the sliding tax and make an early plan to solve the railway pportation problem of Xinjiang cotton and solve the problem of vehicle subsidy. We should increase the quantity of daily cotton storage and make the highest auction price on that day.

Director Zhang Xianbin listened carefully to the speeches of the representatives of the cotton textile enterprises. He hoped that the cotton textile enterprises should pay attention to strengthening risk prevention, seize the opportunities in the domestic and international markets, strictly carry out self-discipline and management of the industry, safeguard the hard won situation of the cotton textile industry and maintain sustained development.
