Jiangxi has strictly informed the environmental protection department of leather industry a few days ago from the environmental protection department of Jiangxi province. The province strictly approves environmental approvals, and projects that do not meet the requirements of environmental protection, no matter how big the project is, resolutely refuses to examine and approve.

According to the report, in order to prevent the rebound of pollution, Jiangxi has strengthened the examination and approval management of 14 categories of high pollution and high emission items, such as iron and steel, calcium carbide, cement, pulp and paper making, pesticide, electroplating, leather, coking, non-ferrous metal smelting, chemical printing and dyeing, ceramics, chemical fiber, and so on. The authority of examination and approval, approval and archival filing should be centralized to provincial investment departments, and environmental approvals will be approved by administrative authorities one by one.

The construction unit that has approved the project without authorization or fails to observe the approval of the energy conservation and environmental protection examination shall be investigated for the responsibility of the person directly responsible for it. If it violates the law, it shall be punished according to law.

This year, the main objective of environmental protection work in Jiangxi province is that the quality compliance rate of the main rivers and Poyang Lake monitoring sections reaches over 80%. The water quality of the monitoring sections in the five rivers and Dongjiang source protection areas is maintained in more than two categories, and the air quality in 11 districts and cities is up to two level.
